About this place
Authentic Bubble Tea, Warm Welcome!
Tucked away in the gentle bustle of Hammersmith, Dragon Cat Cafe offers a reposeful escape from London's tirelessly buzzing streets. Its quiet charm felt like a well-kept secret that warranted discovery, drawing tea enthusiasts like myself through its understated doors. The devoted passion for tea is evident in their meticulously crafted blends—no syrupy shortcuts here. I understood quickly why regulars extol the virtues of their authenticity, especially upon experiencing the Sun Moon Lake and Earl Grey milk teas; both exuded deeply fragrant notes as if grown with solemn attention to aroma excellence. For the adventurous sweet tooth, their Oreo blend adds just enough indulgence without careening into excess.Much like its namesake mythical creature, the cafe boasts an enchantingly versatile menu that mesmerized my palate, mixing refreshing wheelcake creations with its singularly delightful bubble teas. Their seasonal matcha and red bean wheelcakes presented intriguing textures and harmonizing flavors despite having a few niggling inconsistencies now and then. The ambiance, calm yet vivacious, matched the attentive service which completed the experience with generosity and warmth. While there were minor hiccups with some newer items, and occasional lapses that did leave my fellow patrons crestfallen, these seemed outmatched by the cafe’s largely exemplary offerings—a sum that renders the need for a return, a fizzy tale worthy of another telling. — Clarissa Cuisinier
