About this place
Cozy Haven with Exceptional Breakfast Delights
Stepping into the inviting warmth of this quaint little café, tucked away from the bustling main street, felt like uncovering a hidden treasure in the heart of London. The down-to-earth decor exudes an unpretentious charm that's perfect for a leisurely brunch with good company. I was instantly taken by their adventurous menu - combining traditional favorites with more exotic offerings like the Mediterranean breakfast. Deliciously juicy slices of lamb sausage cozied up with hearty portions of avocado, peppers, grilled halloumi, poached eggs, a fat hash brown, and their crusty sourdough. Yes, there might have been some minor avocado issues and one unfortunate blue matcha incident, but these were quickly rectified with sorbets of delightful rhubarb lemonade. Now, as for coffee, which in London, as any resident or visitor will tell you, is the real gold dust – it’s safe to bet they’ve got one of the best flat whites around. Part of what makes this café sing, however, is not just its edibles but its lovable quirks – dog-friendly, chilled vibes, and décor that is both playful and comfortable. The sunshine seats outside are a busting spot in fine weather, while inside it's cushy and conversational. The service too, on this occasion and my last superhero brunch visit, has always been pleasant enough – a touch preoccupied sometimes perhaps, but in their defense, you try maintaining zen amidst punters hopping through swinging jazz mornings. On the Finsbury Park trail, stop by this charming nook, and let the brunches be indulgent and your spirits high! — Milo Tastemaker
