Incredible Beer and Iconic Pizzas Await!

When life's mundane drudgery threatens to overwhelm, thank goodness for the serendipitous opportunity to pop into Zerodegrees, Blackheath. Like a gastronomic chameleon, it presents a spirited flair—a beacon to weary wanderers seeking solace in craft beers and carbs. Yes, the Jamaican Chicken pizza with its delightful tang does exist, accompanied by a mango beer that tastes like summer hijacking your tastebuds. As I wedged my way through the ebb and flow of big smiles amidst the maelstrom of eager diners, it became gleefully obvious that here they pull no punches with their pizza dough expertise—each disc lovingly cobbled with whimsy and incredulity.

Naturally, any quaint eatery must nearly buckle under the weight of expectation, and Zerodegrees isn't free from brush-strokes of tepid chaos. Certainly, tales abound, echoing impressionist recollections of glacial service—a curious specter in an otherwise vibrant cavern. Occasionally you might be mistaken for a ghost as waiters shuffle past, projecting more intention than delivery. Yet the refuge of character and amusingly diverse menu—classy but warmed by camaraderie—triumphs, leaving one yearning to cozy up in its rustic ethos again. It is, after all, about charm; where departures are regrettably postponed for just a smidge more Nutella banoffee and perhaps another splash of fizzing house pillager, made real by buoyant staff that feel every bit Blackheath's own. — Penelope Savory
