Manned by a team of extraordinarily courteous waitstaff, the ambience invites diners to settle in as if enveloped in a cherished friend's living room. My dinner commenced with the Sylheti Naga Chicken, an intricate dance of heat and flavor that titillated the taste buds without overwhelming them. Coupled with perfectly cooked special fried rice and keema naan, everything on my plate painted a culinary masterpiece, vivid and appealing to both the eyes and palate.

Despite a few occasional hiccups in their newly adjusted management and takeout service post-COVID, the heart of Bengal Bertie’s—its exquisite menu—shines persistently bright. While some patrons experienced lapses in order timing and discrepancies in communication, my experience with dining-in upheld their famed blend of flavors and hospitality. Notably, the unique bring-your-own-bottle policy allows diners to pair their meals with wine or beer of choice—a delightful perk accompanied by a little discount if you choose to pay in cash. Bengal Bertie’s manages to leave an enduring impression with its delectable offerings, offering vegan-friendly options like their quorn balti, making it a haven for varied tastes.
