Run by a charming duo—owner and son—who roam the floor making each punter feel like part of the furniture, you're greeted with a blend of casual exuberance and sure-footed Eastern Southern hemisphere charm. Opt for the lamb or the steak if you're lost for choice—and most likely, you'll be at first sight of their extensive yet delightfully curated menu—as it's what aficionados will insist upon repeatedly, often with hearty endorsements. Book ahead or disappoint your taste buds, especially during weekends when it feels like the whole city drops by.

My only regret? Not discovering it sooner. Striking conversations with fellow diners revealed some unfortunate experiences but nothing that derailed the train of universally loud praise for its genuinely celebratory atmosphere and culinary prowess.
