About this place
Authentic Greek Flavors with Exceptional Service
After much anticipation spurred by glowing recommendations, I made my pilgrimage to Meraki Grill in the bustling heart of Southgate. The establishment immediately encapsulates you with its suave ambiance and the gentle strum of Greek melodies, a nod to its cultural homage. As a venue newly refurbished, the freshness was both literal and figurative, offering a contemporary flair yet steeped in traditional warmth, akin to a Greek taverna fused with London chic. The witty and engaging Antzela, whose presence is often noted in patrons' accolades, welcomed us with open arms, making us feel less like patrons and more like cherished guests at a convivial gathering.Meraki seduces the senses with divine offerings such as their luscious moussaka and tender pork souvlaki, which almost dares you to believe you're dining under the Mediterranean sun. Though we've seen mixed experiences detailed from other diners, our visit echoed those fonder memories, embracing dishes brimming with authenticity. The chicken souvlaki may just be their crowning glory, grilled to perfection, proving itself over and over in patrons' glowing reviews. The effortlessness with which the staff embodies the celebrated Greek virtue of hospitality made for an undeniably memorable night. While prices might lean toward the pricier end for some, the gastronomical journey and stellar service blend into something marvelously rewarding – truly a slice of Greece that lingers beyond the experience. — Audrey Al Dente
