Stumbling upon this delightful little haven of caffeine, tucked away like a well-guarded secret off the main drag, was akin to finding an oasis in the desert—except that the sand was replaced by ubiquitous British drizzle. The unassuming coffee shop greeted us like old friends seeking shelter, offering safe harbor and warmth with its rich aromas of specialty brews. Inside, while my shoes formed minor puddles beneath me (a typical occupational hazard), I was welcomed by an unimposing yet impressively varied menu. The range of drinks promised respite, as did the attached morsels—none of which required a lifetime’s indenture to afford.

The service was a revelation: brisk as the wind outside but infinitely more pleasant. Staff practically danced between tables, serving up sustenance and smiles—a commendable feat in such compact quarters. I found myself drawn to the back, where a whimsical surprise awaited—a charming nook by the canal that seemed to float into view more as the soundscapes lulled me. A special mention must go to the Biscoff Conut, a fusion of confectionery joy that demands allegiance—and, more importantly, a second round of their divine coffee to wash it down.
