Great fish and chips shop. I ordered a battered sausage and large chips - everything was cooked well. The chips were not dripping with oil and the sausage had a great ratio re sausage v batter. What I like the most is the fact that unlike other places, the chips do not taste of fish! Would definitely recommend.
Coming here since 2017. New revamped decor. Cozy atmosphere and most of all brilliant service. Food is at its best. Classic fish and chips cooked perfectly and no where else tastes better.
Absolutely loved the experience here. I went with the default Cod and Chips and it was very tasty. The portion was big and filling. The dining in experience was super, the owner greeted us very affectionately and made us feel right at home.

Fish and chips were good. Service was quick and friendly. If you are in the area and looking for a safe bet, this is the place! The portions were not enormous, I think of fish and chips as a meal that will beat me, this one did not. As with anywhere, we do not get as much for our money as we once did.
Genuinely the most delicious fish and chips I've had in London, it was cooked to perfection. The cod was perfectly cooked and flakey, the batter was very crispy and light and the chips were addictive. Would highly recommend!!

We have been coming to Matheous for 25 years. Excellent food, the best fish and chips we have ever eaten. Their new chicken burger is very tasty and the chicken is seaoned and cooked very well.
