Upon entry, I felt whisked away to a Tuscan hideaway as the ambient chatter served as a backdrop to a symphonic parade of beautifully plated Italian classics. The chilled clink of glasses rang with familiarity, no small thanks to Sasha, Qudos, and Francesco – the amiable trifecta ensuring each guest is comfortably ensconced within this oasis among the city’s storied streets. While the menu doesn’t span pages, every dish contained within is lovingly crafted, with the rigatoni with duck ragù nudging its way into my culinary lexicon as a dish demanding swift return visits.

Perched near the glass front that effortlessly blurs the lines between indoor intimacy and outdoor leisure, I found the leisurely service aligned more with savoring rather than dining. Though the portions wore an unapologetically minimalist design, they compensated with flavors that exploded gently upon the palate—each bite a testimonial to authenticity. As the evening dipped towards twilight, I casually sipped on the house red; a revelation, really—a low-key gem that happily stood its ground against a backdrop of impressive alternatives. Eros—clearly a figurehead in this charming cabal of staff—interjected with expert insights on our subsequent flights of fancy.
