Expert Cocktails and Stylish Events Await!
Ah, the Stratford Hotel's Mezzanine—a place where the art of hospitality and the buzz of life converge in delightful harmony. Stepping into this stylish den feels like taking a sip from one of Mark’s expertly crafted cocktails: it’s refreshing, invigorating, and unexpectedly complex. Mark, by the way, may very well be the rockstar of London’s cocktail scene these days, deftly juggling martini glasses and our endless questions with an equally endless patience and flair. It's like entering the Cheers of East London, everyone knows your name—or at least cares enough to ask it—ensuring that each guest is treated to a memorable time, bespoke libation in hand.Despite some missteps—like missing out on the much-buzzed-about mezzanine experience or having reservations bumped—that haven’t discouraged my enthusiasm for The Stratford Hotel. Beneath its occasional hiccup lies a palpable zest and a diverse charm, stars of which would be the lovingly curated John Lewis Christmas event or their mulled wine which, permit me to say, doesn't taste like a warm-pinched nose. There's excitement about promising upcoming events too, such as the intriguing Terrace winterland weekend featuring the Toots Band. If The Stratford Hotel were a blazer from Debbie & Maxime’s sartorial expertise at John Lewis, it would fit perfectly each passer-by, passing the quick press check. It's these glimmers of pizzazz that make me eager—definitely going back for more. — Milo Tastemaker
