The slightly shambolic queue hinted at opened doors of anticipations dashed by somewhat unschooled attendants—the ambience a marriage of the organic and chaotic chic. A once fresh illusion, heralding joy in carb-moments shared lavishly alongside barista tendered brews, soon took a tilt under the detection of intermittent disgruntled patrons and disharmony laid through staff half-heartedly conveying hospitality like a faction of poets angry with a world that didn’t honor expressive ellipses as real writing.

Gail's culinary offering oscillates between subpar reminiscences of supermarket wares that managed to sneak past quality control disguised as stylish simplicity, to perfect harmonies heard echoing from buttery croissants, which alas glean those brief respites from everyday banalities. Coffee—a subject too delicate to have been celebrated triumphantly except in moments scarce, akin to day-time promises broken. Although perched controversially amid numerous critiques, some expounding centurion tales abundant with praises, my encounter found an intriguing crossroads, populated not merely with flavors and flair—indeed, slightly undone pastries—but inconsistencies manifested those ponderous ironies one tends to savor, crunch upon and muse at until caffeinated feelings confound unwilling understandings.
