In a rather incongruous setting within Acton Industrial Park lies Al Enam, an unexpected culinary oasis dishing out what some categorize as the best Iraqi food in London. From the moment I entered, it was clear that the restaurant's charm lay in its authentic Middle Eastern flair rather than superficial aesthetics—indeed, this isn’t central London, but therein lies its magic. Friendly staff greeted me with genuine smiles, a warmth that extended into their service throughout the meal. The bustling lunchtime crowd, comprised of both families and local workers, is testament to its local appeal.

I opted for the chicken shawarma wrap, lentil soup, and cardamom tea, each offering vibrant, harmonious flavors characteristic of dishes rooted deeply in tradition. The shawarma was a delight, with lightly spiced meat wrapped in fresh bread and paired with a choice of tangy sauces, while the tea—delicately infused with cardamom and citron—was a soothing counterpart to the spiced notes.
