Exceptional Service and Scrumptious Asian Flavors
Nestled conveniently by the O2 Arena, Banana Tree offers an enticing mix of vibrant cuisine and cheerful service, served up with a side of ineffable charm. As you walk in, you're immediately enveloped in its lively, inviting ambiance—like stepping into a bustling street market somewhere warm and exotic, but with the promise of actual chairs to sit on. I was greeted by Alex, whose sparkling demeanor and gift for managing dietary whims set the tone for an enjoyable meal. With happy hour in full swing, I gladly welcomed two Mojito Lychees for the price of one—either proof of a genius marketing move or just sheer madness on their part. Either way, the evening had started brilliantly. The menu traverses Asia with aplomb, offering morsels like the crisply seductive Thai calamari and a Singapore Laksa rich enough to write home about. While some patrons suggest that certain dishes flirt dangerously with blandness, my own pad thai was subtly balanced with fresh lime hitting sweet highs. It's worth noting Camille was as attentive as they come, contributing significantly to maintaining the flow amidst what could only be described as joyous chaos when the crowds roll in pre-concert. This isn’t just a spot in the old run for the show, it’s a pleasure-filled preamble backed by a team clearly committed to making you feel relaxed and satiated. From food to folks, Banana Tree is positively fecund with reasons to return. — Milo Tastemaker
