Exceptional Staff and Delectable British Fare
Nestled prominently in the heart of London’s Old Jewry, Browns epitomizes a modern-day oasis amidst the city's bustling energy. Upon entering, the former Commonwealth Bank of Australia building was draped in an aura of refinement that hinted at the culinary delight which awaited. An undeniable charm enveloped the space with high, ornate ceilings and sophisticated brasserie decor—an ambiance fitting for an array of dining purposes whether casual lunches or more celebratory gatherings. Our weekend evening visit afforded us a calming reprieve before catching a performance nearby, making it a choice locale for any cultured itinerary.Standout dishes on their generously varied menu are customized to suit an eclectic clientele, overly entrenched in good taste and decency. I found myself particularly besotted with their Schnitzel which, served alongside a delightful plate of truffle fries, promised bites of jovial gustatory pleasure. The Shepherd’s Pie, whimsically recommended, bore testament to executive tastes with fresh cod proving just as commendable in its superb preparation. Not to be eclipsed by culinary marvels, the service was magnificent. Hats off to Rosario, who transformed the meal into a journey through his warm professionalism and engaging humor—culinary magic at its best and appropriately connected to our retention. Indeed, Browns doesn’t merely provide a meal; it paves way for memorable adventures in gastronomy, tempered finely by artful hospitality.
