On a recent visit to the tantalizing chaos of Chennai Dosa in New Malden, one finds it akin to dipping into an aromatic pot of culinary memories and spicy discord. Upon entering, you're welcomed warmly by Aishwariya – a beacon of hospitality – whose charisma single-handedly elevates the entire establishment's vibe. As the evening unfolded, our assortment of dishes rolled out at their own leisurely pace. When they graced our table finally, there was elation in each bite of the distinctively flavorful dosa, and fluffy uthappam which left my heart (and palate) fluttering with nostalgia.

Amidst throngs of devoted regulars and the fervor of the kitchen, one detects both echoes of lavish South Indian aromas and the buzz of service urgency. The ongoing dance between peaks and troughs of attentive support never distracts from what matters—the food. Amongst offerings from a decently executed thali conga line and unexpectedly delightful Gobi Manchurian salad, each keening with authenticity, there were occasional service stumbles – where the vibrant zest of fresh sambars sometimes veered out of sync with the intermittent buffer stock.
