Upon entering the magnificent Langham, one is immediately enveloped in an aura of past elegance blended seamlessly with modern sophistication. Nestled in its exquisitely decorated Palm Court, I embarked on an afternoon tea experience that promised indulgence. The dazzling room, complemented by the soft melodies of a skilled pianist, set a convivial tone that was nothing short of enchanting. A respectful nod to tradition was met with thoughtful innovations - the tea choice was merely sublime, engaging even the most discerning tea aficionado with tantalizing and unique offerings like the lush Phoenix Honey Orchid.

My celebration of taste commenced with sandwiches featuring inventive fillings such as spicy chicken, which was a surprising yet delightful contrast. Scones crowned with a variant gluten-free Devonshire cream evoked joy amongst differing dietary needs, leaving none feeling lesser treated. The masterpiece, however, was the scalable sequels of art pastry – delicate, creamy, yet varied just enough to save you from fatigue. The custard creams even resurrected upon our jovial suggestion, accentuating the staff's attentive commitment to surprise and engage their guests. Only towards the finale did service slacken briefly, but such light trespasses were excusable amidst the grandeur and skilled frivolity of this afternoon escape.
