The eclectic and vibrant Kit Kemp decor immediately sets the stage for an experience that feels luxurious yet casually inviting. It's this dual nature—the playfulness paired with sophistication—that makes Refuel feel like a hidden gem, albeit one tucked neatly in plain sight. As I settled in for dinner, I was buoyed by an enthusiastic team whose knack for personable attention is clearly unmatched. A heartfelt shout-out to Robyn, Ali, Edy, and Georgiana who took service to a level far beyond comforting attentiveness—more like an art form.

The cuisine is delightfully ambrosial. From scrumptious afternoon teas consisting of soft scones alongside a well-curated selection of sandwiches, to heartier fare such as the flavorful Cote de Boeuf or tender Dover Sole Meunière, Refuel consistently delivers delectable dishes that tease and satisfy the palate. Not to be overlooked are the drinks—the cocktails are meticulously crafted, sometimes almost upstaging the delectable meals. Amidst all this exquisiteness, small mishaps like slightly loud live music or kitchen delays do emerge occasionally, but they pale in comparison to the excellence the venue consistently exudes.
