A visit to Zizzi's in Greenwich is something akin to discovering a delightful hidden gem, nestled with views as splendid as the Thames itself. I arrived with a forgiving hunger, quickly seated at a table by the expansive windows overlooking the river—a testament to the restaurant’s prime real estate. Pavel, a server with an uncanny ability to be everywhere at once, guided us with ease through an enticing menu laden with Italian classics. Their pizzas, stretching to impressive lengths, were just as satisfying and delicious as the surrounding chatter promised. And though dining indoors, it captured a harmonious dialogue of bustling, attentive service against the serene backdrop of London’s iconic waterway.

What struck me particularly was the atmosphere, drawing on more than just fine weather and brilliant vistas. The staff made the experience a tapestry of positive moments, with warm, genuine interactions—not least thanks to the exemplary attentions of charming waitstaff like Funda and Saimir, who kept smiles well-alive among diners. Flavours spilled into laughter, especially when someone requested extra cheese for their ice cream in jest—a request hilariously fulfilled without skipping a beat.
