Upon settling at a coveted window table, overlooking the magnificence that is Big Ben, my anticipation was met with gustatory delight. The sushi and sashimi, meticulously crafted by Chef Gyanu, showcase a finesse that complements their fresh composition; each bite waltzes along your palate with a deftness akin to art.

Service here is often commended and rightfully so. Janesh and Jasha, in particular, exude warmth and attentiveness, tailoring meals with considerable precision for those with dietary restrictions—Janesh's recommendations are especially insightful, easily navigating the menu to cater to gluten-free requirements without a hitch. While the culinary offerings are sometimes met with critiques about a lack of adventurousness, there lies a certain unpretentious charm in ICHI’s commitment to core, flavorful structures. Dishes such as the soft shell crab and Donburi deliver bursts of flavor in sync with what one hopes for in Japanese fare, reaffirming the restaurant's prowess in exacting authenticity.
